Football and Prostitution Do Mix

The World Cup is on it's way. A mere 8 weeks away now. As a result, prostitutes begin to move to Germany to work in what will be a country full of football loving men.

For many of those men wives, partners, boyfriends and girlfriends will be left at home and the opportunity to literally "play away from home" will be as high as ever!

Prostitution is legal in Germany, fortunately for the 40,000 foreign women expected to work there during the World Cup in June and July. Not that such situations are pleasing to all. Sweden, of all places, still hasn't legalised prostitution and to make matters worse their "equal opportunities" minister, Claes Borgström, wants his country's own team to pull out of the World Cup in protest of the prostitutes going to Germany.

Fortunately, the Swedish football authorities have a little more sense and won't be any such withdrawal, although they have promised that the Swedish footballers will not be allowed to visit with any prostitutes.

For anyone visiting Germany expect to see mobile brothels in the form of camper vans and caravans around Germany's capital, Berlin, as well as other cities being used.

Alternatively, due to the expected demand in business, Berlin now holds Europe's biggest brothel. It features a Turkish bath, two saunas, two cinemas and up to 100 prostitutes offering 24 hour sexual services.

Given that up to one million men a day visit prostitutes in Germany and the World Cup is expected to see an increase of 60% such a large brothel and the extra work force arriving could be useful.
